Our caps do not function without an insert, the bases are provided with an opening at the bottom where the insert clicks. If that space is not provided with an insert, the side of the base will give scratches on the floor.<\/p><\/div>

Each base has a small notch, a small flat screwdriver fits in this notch. Carefully inserting it into the notch and slightly prying the insert out. Inserting a new insert is usually easy by pushing it in manually.<\/p><\/div>

Here you will find a \u201cdiameter meter\u201d document. If you print it, you must ensure that you do not scale it. A circle is drawn on the document, if exactly a 2 euro coin fits in here, the scale is correct. Cut the meter on the black line. You remove the caps under your seat and place the \u201cdiameter meter\u201d in the tube leg, until you cannot continue without distorting the paper. Now you can read the correct diameter.<\/p>

Even more accurate is the use of a caliper.<\/p><\/div>

This depends on many factors; how heavy is the chair? How coarse is the floor? How many joints are there in the floor? Are they wide joints? Do I slide in the longitudinal direction of the wood? In short, we cannot determin this. We are convinced of these caps and their quality. We have been selling these caps for a few years now and the caps last much longer than the caps that the customers used before. With coarse floors, there is a trade-off that felts or ultrasoft wear out faster (which all caps do on these floors) that customers sometimes switch to black or hyper. Over time, these customers still return to the softer felt inserts because of the noise. So the choice of the insert and the associated lifespan is also strongly dependent on which choice the customer ultimately makes himself. A few tips for a longer lifespan: Choose the right insert for the right floor. Usually a few chairs are used most often, swap the chairs. Which is not only good for the inserts. If you have a heavy chair and a coarse floor, opt for a larger diameter base.<\/p><\/div>
